What is #BlackTopsRule?
One of the most popular Lucid upgrades is wrapping the factory silver pillars in gloss black to create a continuous panoramic glass appearance. During one of our Lucids & Lattes events, the look became known as #BlackTopsRule—a name that has since become a favorite among Arizona Lucid owners and worldwide owners. It's a subtle upgrade that dramatically transforms the overall look of the vehicle.
Does Lucid's paint chip easily?
Like most modern luxury vehicles, Lucid uses a premium paint finish that can be susceptible to rock chips just like any other vehicle, especially on the front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the best way to preserve your Lucid's finish and maintain its appearance for years of Arizona driving.
Can you tint the Lucid glass roof?
Yes. We can install premium ceramic window film on Lucid panoramic glass roofs to reduce heat and glare while maintaining the vehicle's clean appearance. We'll recommend the best film and shade based on your goals, local regulations, and the specific glass configuration of your Lucid.
Can Paint Protection Film be installed on a Lucid Gravity?
Absolutely. We install Paint Protection Film on both the Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity. Because of the Gravity's larger front end and unique body lines, proper installation requires careful planning and precision to achieve seamless coverage and long-lasting protection.
Can ceramic coating be applied over Paint Protection Film?
Yes. Ceramic coating is an excellent addition to Paint Protection Film. While PPF provides protection against rock chips and physical damage, ceramic coating adds a slick, hydrophobic surface that makes washing easier, enhances gloss, and helps keep your Lucid looking cleaner between washes.
Can you wrap a leased Lucid?
Yes. Vinyl Wraps and Paint Protection Film installations can be removed at the end of a lease without damaging the factory paint when professionally installed and removed. Many Lucid owners choose these options to personalize and protect their vehicles while preserving resale or lease return condition.
Which protection package do you recommend?
The right package depends on how and where you drive. Most Lucid owners choose a Full Front PPF package to protect against everyday road debris, while those looking for maximum protection often select Full Vehicle PPF. We'll help you choose the option that best fits your driving habits, budget, and long-term ownership goals.
Do you remove trim and badges when wrapping a Lucid?
Whenever appropriate, we remove trim pieces, lighting components, badges, and other removable parts to create cleaner edges and a more factory-quality finish. Our goal is to make your Lucid look like it left the factory in its new color or finish—not like it was simply covered with film.
Do aftermarket wheels affect Lucid's range?
Yes. Larger wheels and tire choices can have an effect on driving range and comfort depending on size, weight, and tire selection. We'll help you choose a wheel package that complements both the appearance and performance of your Lucid. Generally someone looking for larger wheels is willing to sacrifice some of their range to get the look they want.
